Bridge the Digital Divide initiative

We’re supporting people with disability to get online and mentor their peers. We want everyone to feel safe and confident in the digital world and have equal access to the internet and tech.

Request a Digital Champion

Our Digital Champions are here to help your organisation close the digital divide for people with intellectual disability. Request a Digital Champion to speak at your event, staff training session or team meeting today!

Support to run your programs

We offer training, coaching and free resources to help community organisations run digital skills programs for people with disability, including people with low vision and young people with intellectual disability.

Free online learning

This program brings together free online learning that we create and points to other great, accessible resources.

Organisations in our network use this collection to help them run their programs for people with disability. It includes resources in plain English, and on topics like using free accessibility features to make your device easier to use.

Bridging the Divide grants for community organisations

Our Bridging the Divide grants help organisations run digital skills programs for people with disability in their community. They can be used to:

  • Provide one on one or group digital skills training and support
  • Provide people with disability with tailored support
  • Train digital mentors
  • Cover program admin costs eg room hire, catering, staff time, internet connections

Grants are available occasionally through this program. You may also like to consider how our Be Connected program grants can be used to support people with disability aged over 50 in your community. Organisations must be a member of our network to apply.
