We are excited to welcome our new group of Digital Champions for 2026!
Over the past few months, 10 Digital Champions from WA, QLD, NSW, SA and VIC have been employed and trained by Good Things Australia and Down Syndrome Australia to close the digital divide for people with intellectual disability.

Digital Champions are people with intellectual disability who share their story and support others to learn.
Digital Champions educate community organisations and support workers on how they can best support people with intellectual disability to be confident and safe online.
Already, 10 people have graduated from the Digital Champions program. In 2026, we welcome Ally, Ben P, Ben C, Bri, Michael, Greg, Tim, Kyal, Aaron and Caitlin as Digital Champions!
Our new Champions have already started educating community organisations and support workers on how they can best support people with intellectual disability to spot scams, manage safe online relationships, use social media safely and more! They have inspired people at conferences and presentations including:
- Australia’s Disability Strategy National Forum
- Queenslanders with Disability Network – Digital Inclusion Peer Support Group
- Down Syndrome Australia’s network webinar
- And more speaking opportunities over the next few weeks!
