Get involved in Get Online Week 2026

Get Online Week is our international digital inclusion campaign that supports people with fun and free digital skills. This year it will be held 19-25 October.

Get Online Week 2026 is coming on 19–25 October, with hundreds of free digital skills events all over Australia to support people to feel safer and more confident online.

Community organisations will host fun events to help people use AI, spot scams, sing karaoke, search for music online, and build other digital skills.

Do you want to get involved? Here are a few great ways:

  1. Host a Get Online Week event
Grant applications are now closed, but you can still host a Get Online Week event. Free resources, guides and materials are available for you to plan and promote your event.
  2. Attend a Get Online Week event
Find an event in your local area for you or a loved one and have fun while learning something new. Check out the Get Online Week event map and find one near you.
  3. Spread the word
Share our posts on social media, talk about the campaign, and help raise awareness of the importance of digital inclusion.
  4. Support a loved one
You don’t need to be a tech expert to make a difference. Be patient, encouraging, and use our free tips and resources to help someone take their first steps online.

Get Online Week grantees

This year, 545 organisations have been funded to host a free Get Online Week event in their community during Get Online Week, 19–25 October 2026.

These grants help cover the costs of running free, local events that support people to build confidence, feel safer online, and develop essential digital skills. It’s a great way to bring communities together and help bridge the digital divide.
