Connecting communities

We’re connecting communities through our affordable devices and data initiatives and supporting people to make informed choices.

National Device Bank

We are excited to announce our partnership with Good360 and Work Ventures to launch the National Device Bank!

This initiative provides free refurbished donated laptops, tablets, and phones to people who need them most through our collective network of community organisations.

Why this is important:

1 in 4 Australians are digitally excluded

1 in 2 Australians

said cost of living increases have impacted their ability to get online

1.1 million students

lack the devices they need to succeed in their education

Connecting communities

Boosting digital skills alone won’t close the digital divide. Everyone needs to have affordable access to devices and data, and the skills, knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about how their household can best get connected.

Community partners supporting affordable connections

Our community partners run digital inclusion programs for people in their community. They provide:

  • Access to loan or practice devices and data
  • One on one or group support
  • Support on essential connectivity literacy

Organisations in our network partner with us to run programs on important topics like getting affordably connected and making the most of your device.

Every year grants are available to fund device libraries through our Be Connected program. Organisations must be a member of our network to apply.

Help others learn about getting connected

Our library of resources for digital mentors help organisations to get their community connected affordably. Join the network to access these resources, grants and more!
