Good Things Australia is helping make the internet a safer and friendlier place for everyone.
Good Things Australia is working on a new program called ‘Games for Good’ to help people with intellectual disability use the internet more safely.
This program is made possible with support from Google.org
Helping people with intellectual disability
Using fun games and stories, people with intellectual disability will learn how to:
- ✅ Make safer online friendships
- ✅ Shop and manage money online
- ✅ Use the internet with more confidence
Helping support workers too
We will create easy guides and online training about teaching digital skills, for:
- ✔️ Disability support workers
- ✔️ Carers and families
- ✔️ Teachers and community groups.
Making the program work for people with disability
We want to design this program together. That’s why we will:
- 👥 Listen to people with intellectual disability
- 🎮 Test games to make sure they are fun and helpful
- 📖 Make learning materials easy to understand
