Creating a National Device Bank

Today, access to technology is not a luxury – it’s a necessity.

That’s why we’ve partnered up to launch the National Device Bank. This initiative will collect, refurbish, and redistribute quality devices to people who need it most.

Dedicated to bridging the digital divide, the National Device Bank will provide refurbished laptops, mobile phones and tablets to community organisations, charities and schools, who distribute them free of charge to people most in need.

The National Device Bank unites three leading organisations, WorkVentures, Good Things Australia and Good360 Australia to tackle digital inclusion across Australia.

Our digital donation program transforms quality devices that would otherwise become e-waste into valuable tools for work, study and life.

By repurposing quality devices we not only give individuals the digital tools and access to skills they need to participate in today’s world, but also help create a more sustainable, circular economy.

How it works

Step 1: Device donation

We partner with private and public sector organisations to collect pre-owned devices, including laptops, mobile phones, and tablets.

Step 2: Secure refurbishment & quality assurance

Donated devices undergo a rigorous refurbishment process, including secure data erasure and necessary repairs, to ensure they are ready for use.

Step 3: Distribution to people in need

Refurbished devices are distributed through WorkVentures, Good360 and Good Things Australia’s network of community organisations, ensuring they reach individuals who need them most.
