The guide
As AI continues to advance, the images it makes can make it to spot. But there are some clues that an image is AI generated. Here is what to look out for:
Look at the hands and fingers
AI can find it hard with making human hands. Check the hands of people in the picture. They might have too many fingers, or look like they are stuck together.
Look at the face
Pay close attention to the person’s face. Does their skin look too smooth and perfect? Does their facial hair look unnatural? If they are wearing glasses, look for weird shadows or weird shapes. If they are wearing earrings, check to see if the left and right sides match!
Read the signs and logos
AI struggles to write words, make signs and logos. If you see a photo of a sign or an official logo, look very closely for spelling mistakes or wrong words.
Check the background
AI can make images that do not make sense in the real world. This could look like shadows pointing in the wrong direction, strange lighting, or corners of a room that do not line up properly.
