Video Calling & Online Safety Session Plan

Support others to use microphones and cameras, respect others, and feel confident in video calls using our session plan.

This 2-hour session provides practical tips for using video calling, aimed at helping learners feel safer and more confident. Facilitators are encouraged to use a data projector and screen for delivery, allowing all learners to follow along, and to provide individual device access. Additionally, pausing videos and regular breaks should be incorporated to aid comprehension and discussion.

This session plan has been designed to support learners with intellectual disability, but can adapted to suit any group you are supporting to learn video calling skills.

This session plan connects to our ‘Video Calling’ online course and learning resources.
