This resource provides a comprehensive list of online platforms such as government websites, official apps, and social media accounts for accessing disaster information.

It also includes additional helpful resources like Google Maps for evacuation planning, weather websites for forecasts, and apps like My Fire Plan and Emergency Plus for specific emergency situations. These resources are crucial for preparation, staying updated, and responding effectively during emergencies.

Bureau of Meteorology (bom.gov.au) allow you to check the forecast for your area.

The Red Cross has a similar app called: Get Prepared

The Register.Find.Reunite (register.redcross.org.au) service matches registrations from
people affected by an emergency to enquiries made. When a match is made, the person who
made the enquiry will be notified. Always register yourself safe, when you can.

The ABC Emergency (abc.net.au/news/emergency) website provides warnings and
coverage of emergencies. It helps you find information before, during and after emergencies.
Created by NSW Rural Fire Service, the My Fire Plan (myfireplan.com.au) website helps
you prepare for a bushfire and to has tips on how to stay safe.

The Emergency Plus app is handy in case you need to share your location to emergency
services if there is no phone reception (emergencyplus.com.au)
